DescriptionWalnut Travertine is a warm and nurturing tile that is both charming and comforting. Friendly and dependable in earthy browns and creams. A tile for those who embrace the spirit and generosity of the earth.
Why choose Walnut Travertine tumbled unfilled?Travertine is a hard wearing yet beautiful stone. The natural tonal variation between the tiles looks great in both traditional and modern settings. Walnut Travertine is widely used outdoors and occasionally indoors. Unfilled Travertine has natural holes in the surface adding texture to the finish. Some clients instruct the layer to fill in some of the larger holes at the time of grouting. The edges of
the tiles have been tumbled giving a time worn, rustic appearance. Walnut Travertine has darker brown tones offering a medium and darker selection of tiles than the Linen Travertine. It is very cool underfoot so ideal to use in any climate. The smooth texture is nice to walk and sit on and offers high slip resistance. Its natural colour variation hides marks very effectively. Travertine is accurately sized, cuts well and is easy to lay.
MaintenanceRequires sealing. Seal with penetrating sealer to make cleaning easier. Use pH neutral cleaners. Do not use acid to clean.

Due to the colour variations inherent in natural stone, care should be taken when laying your tiles. It is strongly recommended that the tiles should be blended together, from all of the crates they came in, as the tiling job proceeds.
Also please be aware that tile dimensions including depth or "thickness" may vary up to +/- 2mm.
Therefore the tiles may have to be graded accordingly.
